Wanna give out a shout out to Ridgeline Heat and Air LLC! I was excited to hear that Chris finally went into business in VA, little did I know I would need him in a few days. Monday morning, we woke up to our outdoor unit not running, called and Chris was out before lunch to check out our system. He quickly identified our issue and got us up and running, but while doing so he also found some other neglected issues from the original install of our unit. Chris and his team addressed these issues, and our unit is performing better than when it was installed six years ago! We needed a good HVAC professional to examine our present systems (2 PTAC units in 2nd floor bedrooms and 2 main floor heat pump units with propane burners for extra cold weather. One added during construction of an addition). We are so glad we took a chance on Ridgeline H&A! We received a coupon in the mail and as soon as I saw it, I called to make an appointment. Original call was to diagnose problems with 2 Amana PTAC units I installed 16 years ago that other techs have looked at and just didn't know how to diagnose. The units were not able to keep the rooms cool against the summer heat. In no time, Ridgeline found a problem with the inexpensive run capacitor and fixed both units at a reasonable cost.
Subsequently, we asked for the Gold Service on our main HP and Propane units, one a Trane and the other a RUUD unit. During the sevice, Ridgeline brought to our attention numerous issues with the original installations, including some code violations. Units were cleaned and tested. Preventive maintenance was performed and weak capacitors were replaced. We even had the option to replace parts with American made parts with a 5 year warranty rather than foreign made. Ridgeline spent hours checking everything out, cleaning and advising. The knowledge was amazing and they even employed an intern so this service was also a very educational experience for us and the intern.
We will definitely call Ridgeline first for all our future HVAC needs. We commend Ridgeline for helping the interns reach their goals!
